The Collections Portal is a self-service system which allows collections to manage their data and add artworks to Art UK. It is built into the main Art UK website and accessed using a collection login.
While many regional and large public collections have their own record management systems and online collections, many of the mid-sized and smaller collections are unable to resource this. Art UK and the Collections Portal, therefore, act as both a database and digital space for art that otherwise could not be shown online.
Using the Portal, collections can:
- Add new artworks
- Edit existing artworks
- Update venue and visitor information
We encourage all collections to add new acquisitions in oil and acrylic, and new sculpture, and to keep their records up to date.
Our Partner and Founder Partner collections may also add drawings, watercolours, photography, prints and collage.
