Throughout the sculpture project, Art UK organised events and competitions for volunteers. In 2019, a large celebration event was held at the Barbican in London. As well as a number of papers presented by Art UK staff and volunteers, Dr Michael Pritchard, Chair of the Royal Photographic Society, presented the prizes from a photography competition. In addition, the sculptor Hazel Reeves gave a presentation about her work.

Art UK holds regular photography competitions which give our volunteers an opportunity to take more inventive images of sculpture. Below are a selection of images from competition winners in 2019. Many of the entries were made into a calendar.

Perhaps inevitably, two competitions that Art UK held in 2020 focused on 'lockdown', and later on the theme of 'thankfulness'.
