More about

The beautiful Assembly Rooms building houses portraits of key figures in Georgian Bath. One of Bath and North East Somerset Council's best and most important paintings, Thomas Gainsborough's magnificent portrait of Master of Ceremonies, Captain William Wade can be seen here. Built as a venue for concerts and entertainments in the 18th century, The Assembly Rooms are still open for visits by the public. The basement houses The Fashion Museum. See our website for details.
