More about

The Royal Air Force Air Defence Radar Museum collection is comprised of United Kingdom systems of aircraft detection, radar and air defence battle management from 1935 to date, both with artefacts and archive material. The archive will also contain documents and photographs of other nations’ air defence systems to provide comparisons. The paintings in the Hobley Gallery are two originals held by the Museum. Many other prints, photographs and illustrations are held as part of the Collection. The collection is housed in original 1942 Military of Defence buildings, and features displays on the Battle of Britain, 1942 Blitz, Cold War Operations Room and Space Defence, plus RAF Coltishall Memorial Rooms. A free guided tour is on offer.
