More about

Brockhampton Estate, a large estate with farms and extensive woodland, includes a fourteenth-century moated manor house approached through a beautiful timber-framed gatehouse and an interesting ruined mid-twelfth-century chapel, as well as a larger Georgian house. It was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1946 by Colonel J. T. Lutley, a few of whose family portraits can be seen in the Great Hall.
