Maggie's Glasgow Gatehouse opened in 2002 and was the second Maggie's centre to open in Scotland. The building is a conversion designed by leading Scottish architects Page & Park. Visitors describe the centre as like a warm, open plan home, with its entrance opening immediately onto a kitchen and the various sized 'rooms' helping each person find a space where they feel comfortable. The centre boasts a small but significant collection of Scottish art, much of which was donated by collector Neil Livingston in 2001. The centre also has significant work by Eduardo Paolozzi and a sculpture by Charles Jenks.
