More about

The Faculty of Education relocated to a single site in January 2005. The new Faculty building was officially named the Donald McIntyre Building in honour of the late Professor McIntyre. In addition to this, the Faculty continues to occupy the Mary Allan Building, Trumpington House and the Science Education Centre. The Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, met Faculty staff and toured the new Faculty building on 21st June 2005. It was officially named on 3rd July 2009 by Donald's wife, Anne, and Dr Kate Pretty. Dr Richard Hickman, who has donated his picture 'Moon over Scrap' to the Faculty, is a Fellow of Homerton College where he was also Director of Studies for Art History and Dean. A Reader in Art Education, Dr Hickman is a practising painter and fine artist. The Faculty of Education is not open to the public.
