The Walker family were a prominent and successful family in the history of cricket and helped to establish Middlesex County Cricket Club in 1864 as well as more local sides like Southgate Cricket Club. They were a very wealthy family and their legacy includes the Walker Cricket Ground and Christ Church, which can be seen over the grounds.
