Here the sun-filled walled kitchen garden at Barrington Court is seen in August where a variety of plants, vegetables and marigolds are in full bloom, They are depicted in the meticulous and colourful detail typical of the artist’s style.

The artist takes a special interest in viewing English gardens. She was commissioned by the National Trust’s Foundation for Art scheme several times and its administrator, Dudley Dodd, said of her work: 'she enhances our perception that flowers please our sense of smell, that fruit enhances our sense of taste and that landscapes often have distant outcrops as sharp to our eyes as the rocky foreground.'
