Donald Urquhart was born in Perthshire and studied at Edinburgh College of Art where he is now a Reader in the School of Landscape Architecture. He was elected to the Royal Scottish Academy in 2008. At the heart of all of Urquhart’s work is an appreciation of landscape and a need to respond to it. Thomas A. Clark is a poet who lives in Pittenweem in Fife. His poetry is principally concerned with the experience of walking, often in the lonely landscapes of the Highlands and Islands.
