This portrait is of Sir Robert Menzies, former Prime Minster of Australia and Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports from 1966 to 1978. He is depicted wearing the green velvet robes and insignia of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle. Painted by David Poole, former President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Chairman of the Federation of British Artists and Senior Lecturer at the Wimbledon School of Art.
