A half-length female portrait of a young woman, her dark hair in ringlets falling around her shoulders. She wears an off-the-shoulder gown with short puffed sleeves, decorated at the cuffs with jewelled bracelets. At the front she wears a pearl decoration. The bodice is of embroidered material, possibly silk, and she wears a pearl necklace, pearl drop earrings, and a decoration of pearl in her hair.
