As an essential piece of equipment for the British forces for many years, the Land Rover has proved its versatility in armed conflict both home and abroad. The lightweight Land Rover could be dropped into any battle arena by air, together with supplies and communications. Frank Wootton’s view of the difficult terrain in a jungle situation illustrates the complexities of delivering Land Rovers by helicopter in tight tree lines and dense vegetation.
