Harris was born in Guernsey, studied at the Carlisle and Edinburgh Colleges of Art, returning to Guernsey in 1969. She paints in watercolour and acrylic. Harris has two distinct styles; one uses expressive colours and brushstrokes, the other intricate, almost miniaturist, detail. She exhibited in Vancouver in 1986 and won the First Prize in the James F. Fox Competition in 1993.
