Painter whose work included large, exuberant figure and flower pictures, born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. He attended Nene College, Northampton, 1979–80; Lanchester Polytechnic, Coventry, 1980–3; and Chelsea School of Art, 1984–5. In 1983–4 was a member of Coventry Artists’ Group. Waller’s awards included first prize at Midland View 3, 1984; junior painting fellowship, Cardiff, 1985–6; a Mark Rothko Memorial Trust travelling scholarship to America, 1988; and a British Council Grant, working visit to New York, 1990. His many group appearances included Sheffield Open, Mappin Art Gallery, 1983; Fresh Art, Barbican, 1986; The New British Painting, Cincinnati and tour, 1988–90; Connaught Brown, 1991; and Lamont Gallery, 1992.
