Painter, born in Bradford, Yorkshire, where he studied, also at Académie Julian, in Paris. His pleasant open-air scenes were in the manner of French late-nineteenth century painting. Showed at RA, RBA, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and elsewhere, working in many parts of England. He was a member of the Staithes Group and was included in Phillips & Sons’ Marlow show of group work in 1983. Lived for a time in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
