Painter and teacher, born in Cumbria, who studied at Jacob Kramer College, Leeds, and graduated in fine art at Preston Polytechnic, Lancaster, based on time spent in India. Relton travelled and taught extensively abroad. She lived in Japan and Vietnam and painted widely in South-East Asia, experiences reflected in the imagery and colour of her work. She showed in Britain, including Battersea Contemporary Art Fair, 2002, Affordable Art Fair, 2006, and America. From there, Winn Devon Publishing marketed representational images created from 1996 in collaboration with Tom Marine. She lived in Leeds, Yorkshire.
