Spanish-born painter who studied at UPV, Bilbao, 1997–02, then settled in the Isle of Man, taking part in group shows there. He won the Singer & Friedlander (Isle of Man) and Isle of Man Newspapers prize in 2002. Pedraja was artist-in-residence at the Courtyard Gallery, Tynwald Mills, St John’s, in 2003–4. He had a solo show there in the latter year, also participating in the John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, represented by Cross the Ts. This was one of his pictures that were “kaleidoscopic mirrors reflecting aspects of current society”, a carefully structured and patterned work in oil, acrylic, pigment and resin on canvas.
