Landscape painter, born in Horsham, Sussex. He studied at Slade School of Fine Art. Was an extensive exhibitor, including RBA and ROI of both of which he was a member, Fine Art Society, RA, RHA and Paris Salon. His Littlehampton Front, painted in 1923, owned by Astley Cheetham Art Gallery, Stalybridge, was included in a tribute to the dealer Lucy Wertheim, who showed him, Salford Museum and Art Gallery and tour, 1991–2. Padwick’s work looked back in subject and technique to the eighteenth century. Lived in Fittleworth, Sussex.
