Painter, commercial artist and designer and teacher, born in Gateshead, County Durham, where he eventually taught for some years at the Technical College. Noble studied art at King Edward VII School of Art at the University of Durham in 1944–6, his teachers including Robin Darwin. He did a volume of illustrative material for magazines in the north of England and showed at RBA, RI, in Scotland and America. Lived for many years at Newfield, County Durham.
