Painter and draughtsman, born in Porthcawl, Glamorgan whose work could be rich in colour and metaphor. He attended Cardiff College of Art, 1976–7; Wolverhampton Polytechnic, 1977–80; and Royal College of Art, 1981–4. Awards included first prizes in: Northern Young Contemporaries, 1979; Cleveland International Drawing Biennale, 1989; and Royal Over-Seas League, 1989, and trophy winner. Participated in extensive group shows, with a series of solo exhibitions in Britain including Lamont Gallery from 1995, and Vertigo, 2001. Government Art Collection, Leicestershire Education Authority, London Underground and a number of corporate collections hold examples.
