For a decade on his return he concentrated on painting with the war in mind, then studied sculpture at Cardiff College of Art. In 1963 he moved to London, where for a time he taught art at Shoreditch College, although he continued to paint in South Wales. Showed with groups at SWG, WAC, SEA, Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne, Bourne Gallery in Reigate and elsewhere. One-man shows included 1951 Festival of Britain, Glamorgan and Gwent; and Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff. CASW holds his drawing Orpheus – Study for Sculpture, and Towner Art Gallery has his work.
