Abstract painter who studied at St Martin’s School of Art and Royal College of Art. She went to New York on the Yaddo Fellowship in Fine Art in 1985 and taught at Winchester School of Art. Jackson was included in the South Bank Centre 1988–9 touring show The Presence of Painting. Later solo shows included North House Gallery, Manningtree, 1999. Although Jackson was a painter notably concerned with a painterly surface, colour and texture, her pictures always had a strong underlying geometry. In 1993–4 John Moores Liverpool Exhibition she won a prize with her canvas So Much Depends. Lived in London.
