Painter, born in Carshalton Beeches, Surrey. He studied at Croydon School of Art, 1980–1, Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham, 1981–4, and Royal Academy Schools, 1984–7. Grover’s detailed, stylized figurative paintings can have a strong atmosphere of surreality and tension. His picture The Wait, the first in a series based on observations made while working in a hospital, was included in John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, 1989–90, his acrylic on canvas Two Slightly Anxious Sisters winning a prize there, 1993–4. Showed solo with Merz Contemporary Art in 2002 at Royal Teas, organised by Julia Lancaster and Graft, and lived in London.
