Painter, born in Johannesburg, South Africa, who produced colourful, abstract works. She studied at Universities of Leeds, 1970–4, and Newcastle upon Tyne, 1975–7. Her group show appearances included several at John Moores Exhibition, Liverpool, from 1982; Forces of Nature, at Manchester City Art Gallery, 1990; and Three Ways, a British Council touring show to eastern Europe, in the same year. Her first solo show was at Parkinson Gallery, Leeds, in 1978. Later exhibitions included Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne, and tour, 1989–90, and Jill George Gallery, 1999 and 2002. Taught at St Martin’s School of Art and Royal College of Art. Lived in London.
