Painter and teacher. He did a foundation course at Canterbury College of Art, 1979–80, then completed an honours degree in fine art at Bristol Polytechnic, 1980–3. Geddes, a painterly painter, took his landscape subjects from a wide range, from flour mills and gasometers to scenes in the Mediterranean area. From 1985 he taught foundation courses, in Weston-super-Mare and at Bristol Polytechnic. Exhibited in a wide range of mixed exhibitions, including Stowells Trophy Exhibition at RA in 1983; regularly from 1984 at RWA Open; from 1985 at Gloucester City Museum; and from 1986 at RA. After sharing a show at Rooksmoor Gallery, Bath, in 1987, he had solo shows there, 1989–91. Also in 1991 had solo exhibition at Cadogan Contemporary.
