Painter who gained an honours degree in fine art, painting, at Glasgow School of Art, 1986–90, where she won the John and Mabel Craig Bequest in the latter year. Among other awards were a Scottish Arts Council Grant in 1993 and the Villiers David Travel Prize, 1996. She won an Alastair Salvesen Trust Art Scholarship, RSA, west and southwest states of America, and a Winsor and Newton Award, Art in Nature Competition, Gloucester, both 1998. She was a member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists. She was artist-in-residence, Shetland Isles, appointed by the Scottish Arts Council and Shetland Arts Trust, in 1992, in 1994–5 holding a residency at Drumcroon Education Centre, Wigan. Others included James Cook University, Queensland, Australia, 1996, and School of Art, Hobart, Tasmania, 1997.
