Painter especially of figures, born in Luton, Bedfordshire, who studied at the Royal Academy Schools. He won silver and bronze medals at the 1895 Crystal Palace Exhibition. Showed at RA Summer Exhibition, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, RBSA and ROI. His work was widely illustrated. Durban Municipal Art Gallery in South Africa holds his work. Lived in Radlett, Hertfordshire.
