Painter, born at Caversham, Oxfordshire. She was related to several artists, being the niece of George Vicat Cole and the daughter of Ann Sorel Lavery. She studied with Arthur Cope and on the continent, eventually becoming art mistress at Hastings Grammar School. Exhibited RA, ROI and elsewhere. Hastings Museum and Art Gallery holds her work. Was a member of the Ridley Art Club and East Sussex Art Club. Lived at St Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex.
