Painter and lecturer, born in Northampton. He studied at Northampton and Chelsea Schools of Art and Bournemouth College of Art, gaining a travelling scholarship in 1953. Went on to lecture for bodies such as National Trust and Arts Council and was head of adult art studies at the College of Arts and Technology in Eastbourne, Sussex, where he lived. In 1957 was selected by Jack Beddington for inclusion in the book Young Artists of Promise. Showed RA, John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, Bear Lane Gallery in Oxford, Trafford Gallery, RBA and elsewhere. East Sussex County Council and galleries in Hull, Leicester and Northampton hold his work.
