Artist and teacher using oil for easel pictures, acrylic for murals, specialising in these for hospitals from 1987. He was born in London and graduated in fine art painting from Bath Academy of Art, 1972–5. He taught at Banbury School of Art, 1980–90, then Rycotewood College, Thame, 1986–90. Was artist-in-residence, Chastleton House, Oxfordshire, 1989, and in 1992–3 at Furness General Hospital, Barrow-in-Furness. Was a designer for Dunford Wood hand-painted silk, 1991–2. Group shows included A Century of Art in Oxford, Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, 1993, Christie’s, 1994, and Banbury Museum and Woodstock Museum, 1996. Solo exhibitions included Manor House Gallery, Chipping Norton, 1989. Murals included Wokingham Hospital, Berkshire, 1987; John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, 1993; Royal Free Hospital, 1995–6; and Leeds General Infirmary, 1997.
