Painter, born in Glasgow where he studied at the School of Art, then in Paris at Atelier Colarossi and Académie Julian. Allan was a member of Glasgow Art Club and showed extensively with Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and RSA. Glasgow and Paisley Corporations bought examples. Lived in Stirling.
